Out and About

While in New Orleans visiting the Clean Show we had the opportunity to visit a laundry facility. This facility has a TC/American's laundry system that was installed by Bobco Systems out of Princeton, MN. It is always nice to see this level of craftsmanship in its final state.

Had the opportunity to stop by the Ryco Conveyors booth at the 2013 Clean show in New Orleans. It was good to talk with all of you. It is always rewarding to talk with people who really know their industry and have a immense knowledge of the TC/American laundry line as well.

15 TON 100 FOOT TRUSS CRANE COMPLETED

Well as promised here are a few pictures of the finished product.This customer requested a special finish with the white enamel. Which
does make this a nice looking piece of equipment. This truss design allows the hoist to be nested up in between the two trusses increasing the allowable high hook clearance.
This truss design also offers much longer spans than are available from traditional Patented Track cranes. This crane was Designed for Williamson and Wilmer. Feel free to contact them for more details about the versatility of a TC/American truss crane. http://www.williamson-wilmer.com/

Here are a few photos of a 15 Ton Truss Crane we have in process. This crane has a span of 101'-8" with a work platform, and a capacity of 30,000 lbs. This should be complete by the end of May. We'll post photos of the completed crane, stay tuned.

Here is a 5 Ton 4-Runway double girder crane with dual center motor drives. This unit is almost ready to go, just a few more details to finish up. 

 

 

 

The bridge gauge of this crane is 14' with an over all length of 90'

 Here is the carrier that has a nestled Acco hoist mounted and is also driven by a center motor drive.

The Lowerator is almost complete, just making the final adjustments to the controls before testing.

 

3MT9-10000-B drive on the 3ET38000-8SRB end truck will be driving the Lowerator at 100 FPM with a 10:1 ratio variable frequency drive.

 Well here it is complete, tested and ready to go.

The Lowerator should be installed by the end of next week, at which time we can show you what it looks like installed.

 

 

There it goes, another successful project with an on time delivery. 



"The Lowerator" Crane

The 10 Ton "Lowerator" crane is almost complete. This is a specialized piece of material handling equipment that allows for load transfer like a typical Patented Track crane, but also offers the live rail to lower and raise and connect to spur rails. This feature allows the load to transfer by means of a TC/American carrier from bay to bay. This is done using TC/A's motorized interlocking system. Here is a picture the early stages of fabrication, but stay tuned for the finished product that's scheduled for completion mid-December.

 

We have exciting news at TC/American, I am pleased to announce that Jim Cornish has accepted the position of General Manager of TC/American Monorail Systems. Jim Has been with TC/A since 1990, through the years he has accumulated a wealth of experience:  Serving as Purchasing Manager, Production Supervisor/Manager, and most recently as Manufacturing Director as well as Manager of the MHC plants. Prior to his career with TC/American Jim was employed with Spanmaster for 14 years where he began his career in the crane industry. Please join me in welcoming Jim to his new position.

TC/American General Manager Bill Swanson has retired as of 11-2-12. Bill will be heading north to spend time with family and to pursue new adventures. Bill has been with TC/A for over 25
years.  After serving a brief stint on the shop floor in 1980, Bill started working full time as a sales rep for American Monorail in the summer of 1987.  Through years of effort and hard work, Bill
moved up the company hierarchy to become General Manager in 2003.  Bill’s broad knowledge, expertise, and keen sense of humor will be sorely missed. Please join me in wishing Bill all the best with his future endeavors.
