TC/American Manufacturing *NEW 5 Ton TOP RUNNING UNDER-HUNG CRANE*

TC/American's Manufacturing Division just installed a new 5 Ton top running under-hung crane. This crane will allow for an additional manufacturing station which will increase shop throughput and manufacturing efficiency. This Crane is composed of 9'-6" top running end trucks, and a TC/American 325 Series bridge rail model number 3RH34-130 which spans 75'-1". festoon power to the hoist, and a flying pendant on an independent festoon track.

When this 73,700 square foot facility was purchased by TC/American it was being used as an old rail house. It had a complete top running crane system throughout the facility which complimented the manufacturing requirements needed by TC/American's Manufacturing Division.

Over the years TC/American has added top running under-hung cranes similar to this one in order to increase their production capabilities. This is another example of how to incorporate a Patented Track system into a facility which was originally designed for top running cranes.

The 5 Ton TC/American hoist carrier utilizes a 3MT9-10000-B motorized trolley. This trolley has a travel speed of 100 feet per minute, and a Class C duty cycle rating. The carrier is engineered specifically for the hoist shown.

Here is one you don't see everyday, "BRIDGE BEAM: 3RH 34-130, 84'-11" IN LENGTH". This rail is step cut on both ends where it receives the end trucks to optimize hook height. The bridge rail is designed to for 4,000 lb. capacity over an 82' span. It's a 325 series rail with a 3 1/4" riding tread, 34" high by 130 lbs. per foot, and step cut to 14 3/4". Good thing they have extendable bed trailers.

Here is another successful project that was just completed on March 26th of this year shared by Westmont Industries of California. These photos are of a Single Girder Top Running 7.5 Ton crane incorporating a Patented Track Bridge rail (The bridge is a TC/American 45R24-101-42ft span, 76ft runways). This project was contracted to Westmont Industries by the Marines Corps Training Center in Yakima, WA. This project represents a great example of how to incorporate a Patented Track system into a top running application.
